Summary
The aim of this project is to improve rapid ashfall impact assessments in the Pacific Island nations, with a focus on the 2022 Hunga eruption in the Kingdom of Tonga. The project will involve field studies, geospatial and statistical analyses.
The project will be based in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Canterbury. Funding will cover tuition and enrolment fees and a $20,000 stipend.
