Geochemistry SIG has a new convenor
Introducing Sofia Rauzi
Hello! My name is Sofia Rauzi, and I am the new convener for the geochemistry special interest group within GSNZ.
I am an isotope geochemist based at the University of Waikato in Tauranga. My research primarily focuses on proxy-based reconstructions of the carbon-silica cycle during intervals of climate change. That being said, I hope to learn more about the wide variety of geochemical and palaeoclimatological research being undertaken across New Zealand from the GSIG community.
My primary aim with the geochemistry special interest group is to continue providing a platform where GSNZ members can share relevant research, news, events, and opportunities.
If you'd like to get in touch with any ideas or suggestions for the Geochemistry SIG, you can contact me on geochemistry@gsnz.org.nz
