Carolyn Boulton: An Interview with a Rockstar 'Fault Hunter'

Little did Carolyn Boulton know that, when she undertook her PhD on earthquake generation, she would see her research topic so vividly brought to life. The young researcher, and self-described 'fault hunter’, was based in Christchurch when the earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 rocked the city. Carolyn’s career path has been largely unplanned. Instead, she has chosen to follow her endless stream of unanswered questions and, recently, her research contributions have been recognised with two international awards.
