Geoscience for Future Energy Special Interest Group

The Geoscience for Future Energy Special Interest Group, more commonly know as Energy SIG, aims to bring together members with interests that relate to the production of energy, providing a forum to discuss how geoscience expertise should be involved in addressing the opportunities and challenges involved in making Aotearoa’s energy system highly renewable, sustainable and efficient.

This group builds on what was previously the Petroleum Special Interest Group. We encourage new members from across GSNZ, with interests in a wide range of topics relating to energy production. We will be seeking input from members on the group’s future direction and activities.

You can meet Jess Hillman, the group's convenor, here.
