A short half-day trip to see gas seepage bubbles in a creek
A short half-day trip to a farm on Hurworth Road.
Car-share arrangements to be completed by 8:45am, we will arrive at the farm by 9am and then drive across a paddock to view the gas seeping out into a creek, forming bubbles. Our host, Ross, will probably then light the gas so the flame could be used for boiling an egg or two.
A short walk further will allow us to view an outcrop of boulders, and see how the gas has affected pasture
Gumboots are a good idea, and a tramping pole if you are unsteady as cows pug up the ground.
We should be home by late morning.
