We are excited to announce and invite you to the Ruapehu 30 years on ... A Volcano Science & Risk Management Workshop (in memory of David Johnston).
This significant event will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the impactful 1995-96 Ruapehu eruptions, along with other key anniversaries, and will honour David Johnston's pioneering legacy in natural hazard risk management.
The workshop will feature sessions on volcanic science, monitoring, and risk management, alongside associated field activities and a public talk. It's an important opportunity to reflect on lessons learned, discuss advancements, and forge pathways for a more resilient Aotearoa New Zealand.
