GSNZ Waikato branch event

Members of the public are warmly invited to attend the launch of GSNZ's latest publication Geology of Karioi Volcano, Aotearoa New Zealand. Spearheaded by local geologist Dr Oliver McLeod in 2020, the 1:25,000 geological map of Karioi is the first crowdfunded geoscience project in the country and represents a special collaboration between geoscience and mātauranga Māori.

Come along to Raglan to see the finished map and hear tales of adventurous fieldwork, traditional pūrākau and mātauranga about Karioi, as told by Oliver and Tainui kaumātua.
