GSNZ Branch event

The making of the geological map of Te Riu-a-Māui / Zealandia
Nick Mortimer, GNS Science Dunedin and University of Otago

It's been nine years since Nick gave a local branch talk. In this presentation he will give an update on the last five years of Zealandia research. One of the main achievements is the completion of reconnaissance geological mapping of the entire Zealandia continent. Nick will explain how Zealandia's 4000-km-long granite backbone was tracked across the region, and give the back story of how GNS’s two Zealandia posters were made.

All are welcome to attend.

As usual, the talk will be streamed live at https://bit.ly/otagogeology.

Come and have dinner and drinks with Nick after his talk.
