Some of what I think we know about the geological history of northern New Zealand over the past 5 million years
presented by Bruce Hayward

In this illustrated talk, Bruce will touch on such things as the Auckland Erosion Surface, the history of the antecedent rivers, the Pliocene Clevedon and Mangatangi rivers, growth of the Manukau, Kaipara and Aupouri sand dune barriers, evidence for Last Interglacial and mid Holocene high stands of sea level and “Is Auckland and other parts of northern NZ really subsiding as suggested by the NZ SeaRise tool?"
