Waitaki Whitestone Geopark Festival
A weekend filled with fun, inspirational events and activities to celebrate Waitaki's treasurers
There's heaps going on including offerings from GNS Science and the University of Otago Geology Department.

GSNZ Otago Branch's Dr Rock will be at:
Vanished World in Duntroon on Saturday from 11 am - 4 pm, and
Science Hub, Scottish Hall, 10 Tyne, Street, Oamaru on Sunday from 11 am - 3 pm.
Help wanted: if anyone would like to help crew the Dr Rock stand on either day it would be appreciated - and it's fun. What's the plan? Come and explore Dr Rock's light, dense, flaky, tough, coloured, glittery, fizzy, magnetic and see-through rocks, and learn their uses.
Bring your favourite rocks, minerals or fossils from home for Dr Rock to identify and talk about.
A PhD is not required and full training is given!
