Talk to mark the launch of this annotated English translation of Hochstetter’s long lost diary of his activities in and around Auckland 22 Dec 1858 – 5 Mar 1859, including multiday trips to the west (Te Henga, Whatipu), south (Port Waikato), east (Maraetai) and north (Whangaparaoa) by Sascha Nolden and Bruce Hayward, presented by Bruce. Full of previously unpublished related maps, photos and sketches.

Copies will be for sale at cost ($30) preferably by cash, while stocks last.
