Behind the Scenes at the Geology Museum with
Sophie White and Marcus Richards, University of Otago
The University of Otago's Geology Museum is one of Dunedin's natural science treasures.
Join Paleontology Lab Manager Sophie and Paleontology Curator Marcus in the museum (GS13) for an hour's walk and talk through some front-of-house highlights and behind-the-scenes secrets. Browse the rock and fossil cabinets in the company of fellow geologists. Learn some history about the geology building and hear stories about the world class paleontology collections.
To warm up, GSNZ will shout chocolate biscuits at afternoon tea in the Geology Common Room (GN9) from 3.30pm, tour starts at 4pm.
