GeOID SIG Meeting
A short talk followed by a group meeting to discuss ideas for activities and events in 2022.
GeOID is the GeoEducation, Outreach and International Development (GeOID) Special Interest Group (SIG) of the GSNZ. With members from all over the country, we usually get together once a year at the annual GSNZ Conference, but just because the 2021 conference has been postponed doesn't mean we can't (or shouldn't) still catch up!
So, come along virtually on Tuesday 7th December at 3pm for a short introductory talk by our new GeOID SIG convenor, Jenny Stein, followed by an open discussion about what our group members want to see GeOID get involved in over the next 12 months. Enjoy a brief account of Jenny's journey from undergraduate researcher, to industry geo, to science communicator (and one or two things she's learned about outreach along the way), then share your ideas and suggestions for all the great things we as a SIG could do in 2022!
