Funded science writing workshop for PhD students

Summary
Join award-winning writer Dave Armstrong for a two-day course that will help you hone your writing style and refresh your approach to your work, including learning techniques that will improve your delivery of important information and engage your audience.
This workshop is open for PhD students who have completed their first year with space for up to 10 students.
The full cost of the workshop is being covered by a generous bequest from GSNZ Life Member Jack Grant Mackie, who left a gift in his will to help support geoscience students. Some travel and accommodation assistance is available for students from outside of Wellington.
To be eligible to apply for the workshop, applicants must:
- Be current members of the Geoscience Society of New Zealand;
- Be currently undertaking their PhD on a geoscience topic at a New Zealand university or research institute.
Applications close Sunday, 15 December 2024.
